Botched Teddy Bears and Broken Heaters

It's the first day of 2015.

Our heater broke down and it's 21° outside.

No problem. A nice man is here fixing it.

But we have to pay him extra for holiday pay.

It seems to be taking longer to fix than we thought.

No matter. Our stove still works.

See? I made a teddy bear pancake while wearing my winter coat.

Then I flipped it and broke it.

Is this really how 2015 is starting out?

  1. Awwww! It's alright, though. Someone went to repair your broken heater, and I'm sure it's now good as new. This is actually a good way to start off your year, since a fixed heater will have you covered for the rest of it. Well, I hope that’s the last it will break in the middle of a very cold weather. Good day!

    1. Thank you, Lane! We are very happy with the new heater and humidifier. Ohio winters are a breeze when you have a heater!

  2. LOL! Sorry to laugh at your broken pancake bear but your picture made me laugh! You know what they say: when the world gives you broken heaters and broken pancake bears, turn it into a laugh! Seriously I hope all worked out for you. Our heater once broke in the midst of a cold spell too, I feel your pain.

  3. Clearly, the broken heater did not dull your cooking spirit. Flipping is an art mastered with time, do not beat yourself over it. I am happy your heater troubles are over. Try flipping the pages of a good book by the fireplace, dress warm and chic, and winter will be over before you know it. Happy holidays
